So sorry to hear of Richard's passing. We were classmates from Kindergarten all thru High School, a sensitive, talented guy.

Calling classmates who attended Glenwwod to encourage their attendance at our upcoming reunion Sept. 29 - Oct 1, I found Richard's phone number on the internet and tried it and thank heavens a good friend of his answered. He was the one who told me and therefore al of us of Richard's having died nearly two years ago. I knew he had been sick at our 50th but hoped somehow it would hold steady.

At that 50th reunion I think I picked up or took him to a train. We talked about his joy in singing with the group that performed at Carnegie Hall. He was witty as ever, a New Yorker and dapper. In our conversation that reunion he was happy with his life in Brooklyn.  His friend said that in addition to the Parkinson's he had diagnosed several years ago he had broken his hip a bit before he died in Sept. 22. I regret not having attended one of his concerts.

In 10th grade, when I had just transferred to MHS, he was nice enough to take me to the Soph Hop.  Also, we were both in the NJ All-State-Chorus which sang at the NJ Teachers' Conventionin in Atlantic City.
