Millburn Senior High School
Class Of 1963
KEEPING YOU INFORMED
For those of you that could not make it to the Ruth Gottscho Kidney Foundation fundraiser, you missed a well planned, meaningful day that celebrated the Foundation's 40th year of offering a dialysis-equipped camp to children with kidney disease. So far, 1,800 children have attended the camp.
WHO WAS AT THE CONCERT and WHO DID WHAT?
Lorre Wyatt, our 'old' classmate and friend of Ruth's, lead a magnificent folk concert at Temple B'nai Israel. Backed-up by classmates Dick Erdman and Steve Oxman, and the current crop of Millburnaires and Millburnettes, the concert was, as several people mentioned, a true 'Kumbaya moment' and spiritual afternoon. Kudos go to Lani Chen and Roslyn Barbarosh for organizing the event. Our Class of 1963 was well represented by Jan Nicholson, Sandy Feibelkorn, Joan Silber, Karen Einhorn, Gail Marx, Marilyn Gechtman, Paul Settlemeyer, Jim Raphalian, Ken Levy, and Stu Lasser -- and a whole bunch of other MHS alums.
IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO HELP
Ruth Gottscho was our friend and classmate until her passing in 1960 and never experienced a rich, full life like many of us have enjoyed. Her mother, Eva, started the foundation 55 years ago and today it is lead by Ruth's sister, Judy Eichinger. This concert was a way for us to join together to honor Ruth, her family, and children with kidney disease. If you didn't attend please take a moment to visit the website. It will help you better understand the positive impact this foundation has had on so many and, if you're in the financial position to do so, please consider making a donation. Thank you.
