Sorry to miss the 60th as my wife and I will be in Greece. I am still working as an academic pediatrician at Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC. I retired as Physician-in-Chief two years ago and since then have co-directed a Pediatric Disaster Network of 10 Children's Hospitals working on disaster preparedness (out of my work as Physician in Chief during the pandemic). This is a $50M grant from the federal government over 5 yrs. I also co-direct an NIH Rare diseases research training grant and a neurodevelopmental disabilities training grant. I see kids with developmental disabilities in a teaching clinic one day a week. My work day has changed so I do in person meetings in the morning, come home for lunch with my wife followed by a walk with our dog and then Zoom meetings the rest of the afternoon/evening. We now have 4 of our 9 grandkids in college, two in DC (GW and UMD) and they come for dinner on Sunday. Life is good so far! I wish all of you the very best in health and happiness.
