Learning of Tom's death in April from a classmate's message on our website hit very hard.

Tom was one of my early boyfriends. We lived about 3 blocks apart in the country club section. During the summer btw 9th and 10th grades we spent many evenings walking his German Shepherd Pixie throught the woods of our neighborhood not yet developed. He joined our class after graduating from St. Rose's 8th grade All of us used to snicker whenever he was called upon in class--, he stood up, recited his name, answered the question and sat down--apparently a ritual learned at the parochial school

Fortunately he and his wife Nancy came to many of our our big reunions, I think the 25th, 40th and the 50th. They were a fun couple. At the golf outing at Jim Jenco's club both of them played and I was in their foursome. We planned sometime for their visit to my house in Ct to take in Tanglewood and play some golf., but time ran out.

Tom had been very seriously sick about 2 yrs ago but I thought it was 'fixed'. He was using the time of his restored health to spend lots of time with his children and grandchildren. It seems another big illness took him.I trust he lived his way too brief life very fully. So sad. Great guy.
